Les Fleurs du Mal, 2000-2001. Stoneware. Black Glazed. They are large spheres of
clay built around a hole suggesting the aura of a young flower on the verge of blooming,
or, on the contrary, of fading away. In contrast with my previous modular flowers, I
consider these new sculptures to be the essence of my interpretation of flowers.
Eliminating the former decorative exuberance, I arrived at a new expression, more
powerful, impregnated with a strange and dramatic sensuality.
